A group of friends and I were talking about inventions, copyrights and non-compete agreements. Part of the conversation was how these might affect employees. I mentioned the number of times which I had seen organizations take a very negative approach. For instance, I went to work for a company who had non-compete agreements. These agreements were with the backbone of our company.

The best hook to attract high value employees

High Value employees always have options. Virtually never do they have to look for a job. High value employees are always employed because their employers see their value. If they move jobs it is almost always due to their employer making a mistake. The mistake leads to the employee leaving or in most cases they make a decision to listen to other opportunities.
